There is only one week left before opening day. We have added a tractor and haywagon jungle gym to our children’s play area. The Haunted Woods has a longer, unguided path this year to make your walk even scarier. The Corn Stalkers have assembled and are ready to “greet” you should you find yourself in the corn maze at night.

Everyone is working really hard right now to get the corn maze and haunted woods ready for opening day. Just a reminder to everyone: This year is the first annual scarecrow festival. Any non-profit organization is welcome to submit an entry. All you need to do is create a scarecrow for display on the farm. Corn maze goers will vote throughout the season for their favorite scarecrow. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three scarecrows. This is a great way to make some extra money for your charity, school group, or church organization. Just send us an email or give us a call to sign up or for more details.

We have added several new activities for children this year, including: an airplane carousel, a mini train ride, and different activities throughout the season. We have a new arial photo of the corn maze that should be going onto the website soon. The maze is more challenging this year, so bring your best navigation skills with you. We are also adding more corn stalkers to the flashlight maze to make it even scarier.

The haunted woods has a new theme this year! It is the birthday party of a local girl. The only problem is that the girl disappeared into the woods over one hundred years ago- and so did her party-goers. Her mother went insane after the disappearance of her daughter and threw her a birthday party every year since she disappeared. She continued to invite all of the neighborhood children, including those that had disappeared, and every year, more children would vanish into the woods. Every year, on the anniversary of the ill-fated celebration, the girl’s mother reappears to celebrate her daughter’s birthday. Consider this your invitation.
